Angel Julie: Poem

  The Wingless Angel

Once chaos in April almost took her away,
But God had declaired that her work was far from done,
And with love and guidance from a heavenly hand,
The showers of sorrow began the blossoming of a beauty.
A fortunate maiden given the chance of rebirth.

Silently she slept awaiting her destiny,
As an unknown blessing was bestoyed upon her.
Although altered, her life was to be restored,
And she was given the chance to breathe once more.
A precious jewel created from the unexpected.

Deprived of a home in the heavens,
The Lord commanded, Earthbound she must be,
For that is where she can best be a service to me,
And awoke something new, as fate slid into place.
A celestial being unlike any other.

Absent a golden ring above her head,
For the halo she received is like no other.
Its because of this that it often goes unnoticed.
Around her shining brightly is a halo of friends.
A smiling woman who is far from ordinary.

Lacking a harp, but far from lacking heart,
With a heavenly voice she sings God's praises,
And serves as an inspiration to family and friends.
Showing love and kindness to all within her flock,
A devoted shepherd of our heavenly father.

Missing soft and feathery wings of white,
Not blessed with the gift of solo flight,
But with the loving hands of her friends,
Just like her spirit, she can soar.
A wingless angel to all she knows.
